Welcome to the McKellar Conservation Association.

 

We are a not for profit organization based in McKellar, Ontario, a village of about 600 people, located about 20km northeast of Parry Sound, Ontario.

 

Information about the club and its beginnings as well as information about the Lake Manitouwabing Big Fish Classic Tournament, our premier event, and all of our other events and conservation projects in the Parry Sound District and it's surrounding areas can be found throughout the site by using the links above.

Recent News in the MCA

 

Hello everyone,

 

Things are well underway for this year and we have many exciting things in the works for 2009.

 

As we begin to finalize things, we will post updates to the website with dates and event details. Thank you very much for your patience.

 

The Big Fish Classic Tournament in 2008 was held last September and was another amazing success. We had 123 anglers from all over Ontario and the US out competing for prizes and the biggest fish.

 

First Prize was awarded to Peter Barbera (Small Mouth Bass 3.29 lbs)

Second Prize was awarded to Steve Hulaj (Northern Pike 9.8 lbs)

Third Prize was awarded to Gaetano Moraglia (Walleye 9.75 lbs)

 

 

 

 

We will post more updates in the coming weeks after we begin to plan and finalize some things.
